What is the origin of the cross used in the Trinidad "Trinity Cross"
award? The medal can be seen at
http://www.medals.org.uk/trinidad/trinidad001.htm.
It is not a Maltese cross, but appears closer to a Formee Pattee
cross, used by the crusaders. Is this cross on the medal specifically found in
Christian tradition, or does it appear elsewhere, especially
pre-Christian?
