I have now found an audio clip of Alana Davis's version of "Carry On,"
which is likely to be the version that you heard on the phone with
Fedex.  If I am right, let me know, and I will post the information in

I am confident that the recording you are looking for is a single by
Alana Davis that made its debut as a Sony Electronics commercial,
which caused a stir when it was included on the telecast of Super Bowl
XXXVII in 2003.  Unfortunately, I cannot locate an audio sample of the
recording.  However, it is available from directly from Sony, or from
Amazon and other retailers for about $3.00.

very surprised if it is not the right version, since there are no
candidates for the cover you heard on the All Music Guide site, and
the Davis single became very popular.
