I am working on a knowledge management software system for a company that I have started. The system uses an ontology to structure a document repository. I need help with the following: the formulation of a solution (methods/algorithms) for automatically placing a document in the ontology. I am looking for a person who has a good understanding of current NLP, classification and clustering techniques, e.g. naive bayes and maximum entropy. At the outset this person needs to understand the problem as described and have ideas about how it can be tackled. He must have the ability to clarify complicated theory to a master in computer science (that is, me). The person must be available part-time via phone or e-mail over a period of weeks or months. Primarily the person will function as a mentor and sounding board for my work. When necessary, the person must be willing to work directly on methods/algorithms. The reward for the person can either be monetary or somehting else, e.g. joint publication of results, or a combination of things. |
