The influenza vaccines are universal, in that a large proportion of the US anticipated stock was to be made in Liverpool, UK, except that the British authorities closed a manufacturing plant down and so there is a shortage of supply. The UK sources its own vaccines from several suppliers and is less dependent on one source. However, different countries may choose different vaccine combinations to supply to their citizens depending on the perceived risks of different strains of influenza virus (there is no *one* flu vaccine). At Tokyo Narita there are medical clinics on B1F of each terminal. Terminal 1 / Airport Clinic Tel. +81 476-32-8877 Terminal 2 / Nippon Medical School Narita International Airport Clinic Tel. +81 476-34-6119 http://www.narita-airport.or.jp/airport_e/php/html/shisetsu/iryo.html There is a list of hospitals and, possibly more usefully, English-sopeaking medical information services, at http://www.moveandstay.com/tokyo/guide_hospitals.asp Owain |
