Hi dddave5, Fill up the 10-unit container. Pour enough of the contents into the 6-unit container to fill it to the brim and then empty it. Pour the remaining 4 units left in the 10-unit container into the 6-unit container. The 10-unit container is now empty. Fill it up again. Pour 2 units into the 6-unit container to fill it up (there is already 4 units in there). The 10-unit container now contains exactly 8 units. I hope that helps. If you have any questions regarding my answer please don't hesitate to ask before rating it. Best regards, Rainbow |

1. Fill up the 10-unit container. 2. Pour enough of the contents into the 6-unit container to fill it to the brim (I am assuming the units are in liquid form). 3. This leaves 4 units in the 10-unit container. Put the contents in another container and set aside. 4. Empty the 6-unit container, and repeat steps 1 and 2 to measure 4 more units. 5. Four units plus four units equals eight units. |
