Question ID: 418679
#1 - Is there a snooze/sleep function. So that it starts playing a 6
hour audiobook and then shuts down after 30 minutes. Like those night
alarm clock radios have a sleep function to stop the music after a
period of time, so it doesn't play all night.

#2 - Need battery pack. If I buy a 3rd party battery pack, so that I
can run the ipod of disposable batteries (AA size???), will that
weaken the internal battery. I heard that recharging any battery from
a non AC-based power source will make it not last as long when you go
back to AC power. I had this happen to me with a camcorder that i
used in a remote shoot in bush. We had a solar panel to recharge the
battery, and when i got home, they wouldn't hold as much juice. The
battery was lithium.

If this isn't a prob. Could you send me some link to reviews of
battery packs that use disposable batteries to run the 4G ipod.

thanx in advance,

Hi Sherpaj-ga,
In reference to your previous iPod mini questions, it seems like a
rumor (albeit, old rumor) now, but it's possible Apple will announce a
new Flash Memory based iPod tomorrow.
