Hi jumpy_frog-ga,
Have you thought about Local Anesthesia where you at least know what's going on?

Also, what do you feel about Hypnotherapy?

Thanks a bunch.

To clarify this question further, I don't really want to opt out and
have a local anesthtic as the phobia will remain, which plays on my
mind a lot. With regards to hypnotherapy, I feel a similar worry to
this too, it's like a fear of losing control which applies to a
general anesthesia and hypnotism...plus a few others :)

<Since you are not keen on hypnotherapy, the fast phobia technique may
be helpful to you as this is a process that you control. It is also a
technique that works very quickly. Often one session with a therapist
is all that is needed.

You are taught a technique that can be used to alter negative and
positive feelings.

If this technique is of interest, I can give you details on where to
get more information and where to find a therapist.>

I can understand your aprehension of hypnotherapy

Also that of total anaesthesia

But what is the problem with a local jab ?

I suspect there is a bit of background history.

I too have phobias...

I can certainly identify with your fear of going *under*
All my life, I have always wanted to be in control....but when that is
taken away, we are left with no identity...
