Question ID: 418852
I bought a stack of stuff last week on ebay and I have been absolutely
delighted with all the transactions and I am impressed by the ease of
PayPal which is now widely accepted.

But how did the Vatican get in on the act?

Was it another miracle?

Or a puff of white cigar smoke after the Cardinals had held a Board Meeting?

PaPal ... the name is a dead giveaway.

Bryan,

And I thought I was the only one to notice same. I searched in the
music section. Young, John Paul .. sure enough, I was redirected to
Pope John Paul .. versions 1 and 2. You could imagine where "Vat" as
in industrial vats sent me .. back to the Vatican. "Meaning of Life"
however, led me nowhere.

Had hoped to cross your path Bryan. Please view question 418789 to
receive your now belated birthday gift.

Hi, Phil

Many thanks for everything.

Of course, there are many connections ... There's JOHN Lennon and PAUL
Mccartney ...

And here in Europe, we have a sales tax called VAT!

I used to think that it stood for 'Value Added Tax' but now I'm not so sure.

Those fancy dress outfits and all those Swiss Army Knives must cost a lot.

Worried.

Bryan,
Why not? Acording to some the Jews are getting set to control the
worlds wealth and set up a new world order and one governmnet world
state, so it would seem quite reasonable that the Vatican could aim
their sights a litttle lower and merely look to control the worlds
biggest auction site.

I suspect that if it is true then JohnPaul may see it as a means to
auction off at market prices ( for his retirement nestegg) masses of
gold and jewellry he has built up over the last 2000 years or so,
perhaps swap a couple of his long white gowns for a couple of Burqas
as momentos of his involvement in that area of the world, etc etc.

By the way where does one go to find out how to use Paypal, given
you and others on this site reccommend it so enthusiastically.

Hi, John

Here you go:

https://www.paypal.com/

Is there an Oz ebay?

It's going great guns in the US and the UK ...

I would have thought Mail Order in Ozland would have been BIG business
given the size of the country and all those wide open spaces.

All the Best

Bryan
