I live in one of the states the candidates have written off as pre determined and not worthy of their attention or campaign so why should I care about voting and standing in long lines if my vote wont make any difference? |

If you're a Bush supporter then you're right. Your vote won't make any difference, you should just stay home and let all those silly Kerry supporters get bored standing in long lines. Does that answer your question? :) |

Chances are there are more offices/issues on your local ballet besides the race for president. These local issues often have a lot of direct impact on your community and are a good reason to make sure you vote, even if you don't think your pick for president will make a difference. Also, it is often possible to avoid long lines by requesting an absentee ballet or by voting early. |

Because the campaign offices for each candidate may be entirely wrong. Polls are only marginally accurate. Even if the candidate you prefer doesn't win, you are sending a message to future candidates. Kriswrite |
