I am attempting to install the MATLAB Version 7 component into Visual
C++ 6, however I haveing difficulties getting 'mccsavepath' to run.

Does anyone have any suggestions, I recall using the above on another
computer a year ago and it worked perfectly.

(I am using Windows XP, so if you want to setup a remote assistance thats fine!)

I have verified the about information is correct on the offical site
although I am unable to get the last part to work:
