It will depend on the time of the year. See http://nndc.noaa.gov/?http://ols.nndc.noaa.gov/plolstore/plsql/olstore.prodspecific?prodnum=C00518-PUB-A0001 for a compilation of the prevailing wind directions by month from 1930 to 1996 for numerous weather stations around the country. The Bronx is not specifically included, but there are several stations around the NYC area. The Bronx Community College maintains a weather station that has some recent historical data.
