I don't think this question can have a single answer, since olives vary widely in size. I have two jars of green olives with pimientos in my kitchen; in one jar the olives are tiny, while the other jar's olives are huge. |

Considering how small those little green olives with pimentos are, I would say a few grams at most. You could always buy a small jar of them and weigh one or two. |

I only asked because I'm doing a recipe analysis (and because I wanted to try this site) and the USDA site I always use for nutrient information only offers it on 100 grams of green olives. Since I was using 24 of them, I assumed they were roughly 4 grams apiece and used the info on 100 grams. I just wondered if anyone would weigh, say, an average size one for me, since my scale at home only does pounds and ounces. Thanks. |
