I am looking to buy a classic board game called "Caper". It was
produced by Parker Brothers in 1970. It is not to be confused with
"Clue: The Museum Caper" - that is a completely different game.

I have managed only to find one for sale at www.boardgamegeek.com and
none anywhere else.

There is no answer at this time.

All I can say is check with EBAY, they have had it for sale before as
evidenced by this cached ebay page:

Checked eBay and all I could find was the cached info too. I've saved
a search there but who knows when it could come up again. I was
hoping some place would have one for sale that wasn't exorbitantly
priced.

Yes, boardgamegeek.com and eBay are the only places that I have found
that have it (there are no listings on eBay currently and haven't been
for quite some time). I'm hoping to find somewhere else that has it.
