i recieved stone beads that were the rock that was in a diamond mine in africa,
the rock they must break through to look for the diamonds,,what would
you call this rock?

Much of the stone you are talking about is called "kimberlite", but
normally is had a tint to it that has been described by some people as
appearing rather dark greenish (but I suppose it might appear to be
black on some stones).
