I am looking to purchase men's trousers that have embroidered specific
types of designs on them. For example, pants that would have either
ducks, pheasants, geese or golden retreivers on them. The design is
embroidered all over the trousers. This is a very traditional east
coast/New England look. Unfortunately it is considered a "preppy"
look, of which I don't ascribe to, I just happen to like these types
of trousers. Polo/Ralph Lauren has these types of trousers, two are
khaki pants in which one has embroidered ducks on them, with the other
having embroidered pheasants. Hopefully you will be able to locate
places from which I could order/pruchase these. I look forward to
hearing from you.

Hello, vjpedo-ga!

After searching dozens of catalogs and online stores, I have found
only a few sources for embroidered men's trousers. The selections
appear to change with the seasons so you might be limited by size,
design and material.

Orvis offers the best year-round selection of men's embroidered
trousers, but again, the designs and material change with the season.
The pants you described, with pheasants and ducks, are generally made
of corduroy and sizes are extremely limited right now. I did speak to
a customer service representative and he assured me that a new
shipment of this style will come in during the next year. Right now,
the largest available selection of embroidered corduroys have labrador
retrievers or holiday themes. The company also has some cotton
trousers online with embroidered flags.

Ralph Lauren currently offers two styles of embroidered trousers -
one with the Polo player design and another with a "game bird."
Hopefully, they will continue to provide newer designs.

Another source with a variety of patterns is Murray's Toggery Shop,
which carries cotton trousers with dogs, ducks, whales, etc.

I have listed the links of the stores that I was able to find below.
I want to stress again that each of these sources will likely change
patterns and materials with each season, so if you don't find a style
you like, continue to check the new catalogs as they come out.

Just for fun, I also included a link to some used, vintage Izod
embroidered trousers that are currently listed on eBay!!

VINTAGE CLOTHING (in case you have any interest!)

I found the following pairs of 1980's Izod embroidered trousers at smokydiva.com

If you like these pants, you might want to keep checking on the home
page and click on the link for men's seperates to see new arrivals:

One other point - since embroidered pants are becoming so popular,
and women are luckier to have a far greater selection than men, it is
not uncommon to find men wearing women's pants!! If you can find a
pair that fits and looks unisex, you might want to give it a try!

If you don't believe me, read the following article (and see the
picture on the bottom):

"Salmon-Colored, Swordfish-Embroidered Chinos Replace Capri Pants as
Top Fashion Trend," by Dana Craig.

I hope these sites are helpful and you can find the size and style of
trousers that you like!

Hi again, vjpedo!

I was out shopping with my daughter today and walked into J Crew.
They have a new line of embroidered cordorouy trousers for men. I had
looked in the catalog before I posted your answer and found none. Just
looked again today when I got home and found that they have added the
pants!

I guess that goes to prove that is is worth checking various online
stores from time to time to see what is new! Hope you have read this
answer and found some pants of interest.
