Question ID: 420295
I'm looking for a supplier for a two-conductor, shielded cable. This
cable must have an outside diameter no larger than 0.150 inches. It must
be rated for 600V, although the 600V rating really only needs to be for
the outer insulation to the inner conductors, not between the inner conductors.
Ideally the cable would be UL listed for 600V applications. It should be
shielded (foil or braid), and ideally the two inner conductors would be twisted.
The cable should be reasonably tough- it will be used in outdoor applications.

The most important spec, though, is that the outer jacket color must be black!

Cables that would work, except that they're not black include these
Daburn: http://www.daburn.com/2444.html http://www.daburn.com/2550.html

Alpha and Belden carry suitable cables, but they're white instead of black.

A good answer to this question would include a manufacturer and part number
of a suitable stock cable (hopefully not an exotic, expensive MIL-SPEC cable).
I realize anything can be custom made, but our quantities preclude that. A
great answer would specify two or three cables readily available in the US
(in stock somewhere), and UL listed.

The 600V rating is 600V RMS, unfortunately. Black heat shrink
has been considered, but we need up to six foot lengths, so it
wouldn't be too easy (although we could run them through our SMT
reflow oven ...)

We think we do need shielded cable. The signals will be in the 10-100
microvolt range, and the cable will be next to 480V CAT IV power cables.

Tricky. Couple of comments though.
Is the 600 volts the peak volts, ie not 600 volts rms?
Presume black heat shrink is impractical.
Do you definitely need screened cable? Twisted pair is much more
emission inhibiting than is generally appreciated.
