if I am 100% disabled vet, can I still work?

The short answer is yes.  But there are regulations about how the
income is calculated, how much the job pays, and limits to the amount
that can be earned.  The limits are adjusted by the VA periodically. 
I'll let the person earning the $2 give you the details.
