I am having problems mounting my new 300gig Maxtor Firewire external
HD onto my Win server 2003 computer.

I see the drive in the Disk Administrator snap-in module, but it
doesn?t come up under the My Computer.

I am running Win 2003 server on a Compact Proliant Server (the server
originally came with Windows 2000 server, but was stripped and
reinstalled a few months ago.

It see the 2 150gig firewire drives fine. They are Maxtor HDs also.

The 300gig drive works fine if I hook it up to my Win XP Pro PC.

Since I see it in the Disk Administrator snap-in module and it gives
it a letter, I assume all is good. How do I get it to show up under
My Computer.

thanx in advnce

NOTE- This is a urgent problem.

Hi sherpaj-ga,
Do you have any Network drives connected?
If so, Microsoft suggests restarting the computer or disconnecting the
network drive.
