Read your response to names and rather than waste the work you did
perhaps you could use same thread  you established to tell me how many
new Americans share my daughters  first name. I am not sure how far
you go back but if you can get last couple of years or the 90s decade
that would be great. Not that important but if easy and quick then
plesae do. My daughters name is Sharina, an uncommon Indian name. It
is pronounced as for Serena Wiliams but with a sh in front rather than
bare s.

..... and by the way and on Bryans theme of odd names I once new a
Merry Christmas albeit Mary Christmas. I was postman and saw many
strange names in my time but Mary was a customer at 42 Booth St Golden
Square Postcode 3555 as I remember. Parents were not that cruel but
Mary ?? simply married Mr Xmas.

 My fathers mate was Henry Shovelbottom. Another  customer of mine on
my postaman's round was Mrs Sidebottom. Once I knocked on her door and
addressed her as Mrs Sidebottom ( as it sounds and appears)to which
she scolded this innocent 18 year old, strongly advising me that her
name was Mrs Siddy- Boe- Tom, said fast of cousre.
