I am trying to remember who sings the classic rock song in which the
singer says, "How Long" followed by a really horrible keyboard part.
This repeats for about 20 seconds. "How Long"...keyboard..."How
Long"...keyboard...

I was thinking it is Boston, but I can't find the song. I need the
name of the song and the name of the band.

Thanks

How about "Point of Know Return" by Kansas?

Here is a truly dreadful clip that includes the "How long" [keyboard
music] "How long" [keyboard music] stuff from "Point of Know Return."
It's about halfway through the clip:

Shall I post "Point of Know Return" as your answer, or are you seeking
other suggestions?

The teeth-gritting repetition of the phrase "How long," with intervals
of keyboard music, is from "Point of Know Return," by Kansas.

I happen to love Kansas. I've been to several of their concerts, and I
own most of their albums. But this particular segment makes me want to
scream "Stop with the pretentious keyboard stuff, already."

As noted above, there's a really putrid clip here:

I'm glad to have been able to help!
