V7173 is the pattern number of the collection Victoria by Royal
Cauldon. The website at
http://www.replacements.com/webquote/ROCVICSC.htm shows prices of
available pieces from this set.
An article reprinted from a 1956 book 'British Potters and Pottery
Today' mentions that Royal Cauldon was founded by Felix E Pratt (died
1894) under the name Pratt & Co. It was based in Stoke on Trent,
which is the main centre for china and porcelain in Britain.
Apparently the early success of the enterprise was due to a unique
process of colour printing. At the time of writing in 1956, Royal
Cauldon was associated with the famous manufacturer Coalport China.

The next piece of information I found was that the Royal Cauldon name
was purchased in 1962 by Pountney and Co, a pottery in Bristol. In
1969 the business was in debt, so the factory was sold off, and the
business moved to Pool [near Redruth] in Cornwall. This move did not
work and bankruptcy followed by the end of 1971. Following purchase,
by new owners, Pool closed in 1977.

I did not find any other mention of Royal Cauldon in connection with
Cornwall, Redruth or Pool, so cannot say whether china continued to be
produced under the Royal Cauldon name after 1971.
