We sell non-abrasive water jet machines here in the US. Our current
customers are mainly from the die-cutting industry and use water jet
machines to cut ejection rubber for die boards. This is a very
limited market and we are looking to expand our market. The water jet
we sell has a working area of 19.7" x 19.7" x 2" (X, Y, Z,
respectively). The current market is not big enough to sustain us
into the future. I am sure this machine could be used in other
markets/industries so here are my questions:
** What is a real problem that could be solved with a non abrasive
water jet CNC cutting machine?
** What products could we cut on this machine?
Please use the following criteria:
- Water jet cutting produces no heat, so materials are not affected thermally.
- The machine cuts material with up to 55,000 PSI of pressurized water
that is directed thru a nozzle between 0.006" and 0.008" in diameter
(this is the width of cut)
- Our machine is non-abrasive, so we cannot cut steel, granite, any hard material
- The machine can be used in food applications and medical fields
- We are looking for a products/industries with, minimum, several hundred prospects
- We already looked into gasket making because the machine technically
would do a great job there, but the table seems to be too small
- We are not interested in adding abrasive capabilities or changing
the size of the machine
Please let me know if I need to clarify anything.
