I am looking for some information regarding how technology and technological disasters and how FEMA addresses them wrong. So in other words technology might be causing more disasters and might not be useful during emergencies due to it being unreliable. If possible a few sources of information from sort of publication, magazine journal etc. or reputable websites. Thanks |

Mott -- A close friend of mine ran FEMA's technical efforts for years. While technical infrastructure does fail in an emergency (among the most sensitive pieces of infrastructure are cellphone systems), lots of effort goes into: A. getting the communications infrastructure back in place B. putting resources place for leaders to make informed decisions C. detailed contingency plans They do a lot of it with inter-agency work. And they're so good at it that they advise other countries on how to do it. I think that your resource would find quite the opposite of what you're seeking to prove. Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |
