I am toying with Excel as an answer to a simple in-house record
keeping document for livestock recognition, control and reference.

I chose to start with a hyperlinked index as the covering page. My
quick test works well so far. I nominate the cell as a hyperlink to
direct me to a page of more detailed information on that particular
animal. I have flagged indicators of concern with a red in-fill and
used green to highlight when things are back on track. I have made
provision for a comments area also.

As I have an abundance of animals, hence numerous identifiers, how can
I manipulate the system to hyperlink ALL cells at the same time to
create a multiple of templates? One at a time is cumbersome. Also, how
can I send the hyperlink to a created template, instead of having to
create a new document from scratch each time?

I.e. 4D1, 4D2, 4D3, 5D1, 5D2 .. 5D287, 5D288

4D1 may be joined with 4B7. Can I also hyperlink 4B7 in reverse from
4D1's detail page back to 4B1's detailed page?

Am I making sense? Any simpler suggestions are of course welcome.

Kind regards in anticipation of your patient education, Phil

most patience with my comprehension of your answer.

In saying 4D1 may be joined with 4B7 .. I meant that the animals
identified by that record locator may be joined .. as in procreation!
