I"m having troubles with two Office 2000 programs. One is Outlook 2000
and the other is Word 2000. The problem with Outlook 2000 is that is
quits responding from 15 to 30 seconds and then I can continue with
my task, usually this is when reading e-mail or clicking from one task
to another. At times I do have to use End Task to close the program.
My Outlook pst file is only 2.65MB. I have done a detect and repair. I
have run SCANPST. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000. With
Word the problem is somewhat different. I can work with Word, save my
work and go to close the program and it quits responding where End
Task is the only way to close out Word. I have even installed on a
different computer with all the same Windows XP critical updates and I
have the same problem with Outlook 2000 but not Word 2000. Would
someone be interested in tackling this ongoing and frustrating
problem. I do have AVG Professional installed. Firewall with my
wireless portal plus Windows XP Firewall enabled, Ad-Aware and
SpywareBlaster and I do keep all of the programs update.

Thanks,
Oldpop51

PS. If you are going to say do a System Restore please don't bother to
answer because that is not the fix.
