If a cat eats peyote, you know how he can trip out and imagine he is somewhere he's not? like a person could eat peyote and think he is climbing some high mountain when really he is sitting on the couch in his living room. Well, the point of my question is 'If the cat has never left his house then what will he think when he is trippin' out? where will he imagine he is if he's never left the comfort of his home? |

I don't think anyone has any notion of what animals' hallicinations consist of. Investigation into animals' normal dreams is highly speculative; how could anyone know what is going through a cat's mind when the creature is under the influence of a powerful psychoactive drug? Cats become very disoriented and unhappy when in an altered state. My best guess is that a cat who has been given peyote is much more likely to be thinking "HELP! SOMETHING IS TERRIBLY WRONG!" rather than "Oh, wow, what a trip!" |

Loreno -- Animals don't always react the same way to drugs that humans do. Opiates, for example, are depressants to the central nervous system in humans but often are stimulants to cats. Here's an excellent resource: Illicit Drug Intoxications of Small Animals," (Robert H. Poppenga, 2001) http://www.vin.com/VINDBPub/SearchPB/Proceedings/PR05000/PR00397.htm Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |
