Hello snowtime-ga,
Von Dutch Originals appears to have recently begun a legal campaign
against knock-offs and names that are a bit to close to the VDO brand.
Thus far, two legal actions have been taken -- against Michael Cassel
and Richard Schwartz in February 2004, and OOC Apparel Inc, in March
2004.
The VDO press materials refer to these as the first in a series of
"several restraining orders" that can be expected, so apparently,
others are on the way.
I've provided links to two relevant press releases that should provide
you all the information you need.
But before rating this answer, please let me know if you'd like any
additional information. Just post a Request for Clarification, and
I'll be happy to assist you further.
Cheers,
pafalafa-ga

Von Dutch Originals Files Suit Against Knock-Off Company at Major Fashion Tradeshow
Wednesday March 24, 2004
Las Vegas restraining order and injunction follow successful suit in Los Angeles
LAS VEGAS...On the heels of a stunning legal victory in Los Angeles,
attorneys for chic clothing designer and manufacturer Von Dutch
Originals (VDO) hit knock-off manufacturer, OOC Apparel, Inc., with a
similar lawsuit at the fashion industry's largest and most prominent

restraining order and injunction against the offending company,
preventing OOC from selling apparel bearing the phrase "Dutch Boyz" or
other marks that are confusingly similar to VDO's "Von Dutch"
trademark...
...Von Dutch Originals has already won a restraining order and
preliminary injunction in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles
against Michael Cassel and Richard Schwartz for illegally selling Von
Dutch apparel without VDO's approval.
