I have looks and acts of Mr Bean. I was wondering should there be a
remote opportunity to get a similar role in media. With no clue of
where to start, and no contacts, I have explored acting schools,
prepared my profile with appropriate pictures - with no results.

Any tips on how I can potentially tap into this career?

It is not clear from your question - you would like to be a double
(because you look like Rowan Atkinson)? Or, would you like to develope
your own career?

Hi PoliticalGuru,

Thank you for the interest. I am basically interested in being a
double, but would not mind exploring a full fledge career.

Pinkfreud has great suggestion, I already ordered the suggested book.

Move too 1985 Europe where their standards of humor were on parallel
with their dental hygene.

Mr Bean (thank god) was a fluke. I world is better off without another.

There are agents who specialize in celebrity lookalikes. If you truly
resemble Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean, you may be able to get some
bookings as an impersonator.

These guys http://www.littlerbritain.com were on Richard and Judy in
February (2005) and got a deal with an agent because they looked like
the Little Britain characters. You could just take some pics with a
digital camera and email them to the Agents, try searching on Google
for "Lookalike Agents UK". Try taking the pics near a yellow mini and
in a simialr suit to what he wears, this will make you seem more
"bookable". Also try to rehearse some of the routines/moves and you'll
be well on the way to a career as a lookalike!
