Hello wannaknowanswer~

Some people argue that there?s only one race: the human race. And, of
course, they're right; humans are all basically the same. However, in
the 19th century science pinpointed common differences in the
structure of humans and divided them into three races: African,
Caucasian, and oriental. (?The Gender Basis of the Three Races,?

It was Negroid, Mongoloid, and Caucasoid, I thought. Also, as I
recall, the descripitive definitions of Negroid and Mongoloid were
fairly explicit in their characteristics, and Caucasoid was pretty
much "all other," including the peoples of India, Latin America, etc.

The actual meaning of these terms and the confusion inherent in
applying them (as well as the fact that for most purposes it is simply
an irrelevant datum) are among the reasons why I never refer to myself
as "Caucasian" and always decline to specify race on forms that
request it. When there's a blank to fill in, I put "human."

Even a $2.00 question does not deserve an answer with a link like
this: (?The Gender Basis of the Three Races,?

is a luntic. Decide for yourself.
