I am looking for the best air miles credit card. The credit card that
is frequently listed as being the "best" is Capital One air miles
card. What most credit cards do not tell you up front is that there
is a "multiplier", i.e, with Capital one their "formula" is the LAPF X
90. If the airfare is $300, you would need 2700 Air Miles. Based on
the "multiplier" that credit companies use, which is the best card??

This is not exactly what you are asking, but here are my 2 cents: As
someone who has accumulated a significant amount of frequent flier
miles, I would recommend that this is not the best benefit you can
choose from your credit card. As all of the major airlines are either
in or near bankruptcy, the likelihood that some or all will eventually
default on these mileage benefits goes way up. I would suggest the
Chase PerfectCard where you get back a minimum of 1% of your charges
as a credit towards your next bill. This is cash you can use to buy
the airline ticket of your choice.
