Hi jon44 and thanks for the question.

TRW (see link below) is one of the major competitors and is currently
in the process of being acquired by Northrop Grumman (so watch this
company!) for $7.8 billion in stock. Also TRW's Aeronautical Systems
unit is being sold to the Goodrich Corp. for $1.5 billion.

Related to above information:

“TRW Aeronautical Systems is the market leader in the supply of flight
controls with over 400 million flight hours experience with
fly-by-wire actuation. “

Honeywell Aerospace is a competitor of TRW Aeronautical Systems:

Goodrich who are aquiring TRW's Aeronautical Systems :
“With over 50 years of experience, Goodrich is a leader in providing
the most dependable, fully integrated primary and secondary flight
control and utility flight actuation systems.”

“Aircraft & Aerospace Flight Actuators”

“Kaiser, a Rockwell Collins Company”
“including pilot controls, flight actuation controls and specialized
aircraft products.”

For Repair/Overhaul:
“TECSTAR also offers a JAA and FAA approved repair station
specialising in the repair and overhaul of Flux Valves, Fuel Probes
and flight actuation and position sensing products.”

I hope this has answered your question and if you have any doubts
about my answer just ask for a clarification.

Thanks very much for the question.
