Feodal, more commonly spelled feudal, refers to feudalism and "lands held in fee or to the holding of such lands" (www.dictionary.com). Yamun, commonly spelled yamen, is the office or residence of an official in the Chinese Empire. So a foedal yamun is a residence of such an official who holds lands that are rented by a lower class, usually referred to as serfs. |
