I want to be able to watch VHS tapes and DVDs without disturbing other people in the house. I purchased a pair of Sony wireless headphone that I wanted to plug into my TV, but after I got the headphones, I saw that the TV had no headphone jack. The TV has no audio out jacks at all! The DVD and VCR also have no headphone jacks. They only have RCA jacks to connect to the TV in stereo. Does someone make an inexpensive converter box that I can put in between the VCR and/or DVD player and my TV? A box that has a headphone jack on it? Or is there another way to solve this problem. thanx in advnce | |

RCA jacks (line outputs) will not usually drive headphones directly, but in this case they don't have to, because you are using WIRELESS headphones. The wireless headphone *base unit* will almost certainly work just as well from a line level input as a headphone socket input. All the volume and amplification for the headphones themselves is carried out by the wireless receiver in the headphones. Owain |
