Dear queenbee:
Thank your for your question. I have found two physicians, one in the
Medical College of Virginia, and the other in Georgetown University,
who are purported to be the best in their field. I will explain why.
After conducting a search on metformin and PCOS (polycystin ovarian
syndrome) on the internet, I came across the following article at
PhysiciansWeekly:
"Diabetes Drug May Help Treat Women with PCOS
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- An anti-diabetes drug might one day help prevent
miscarriages."
The drug studied was Metformin. After conducting a further search, I
have found that the lead research in this study is one Dr. John E.
Nestler, Division Chair man of Internal Medicine at the Medical
College of Virginia. The below link contains his contact information:

The second prospect I have found comes from a support site devoted to
PCOS patients. In the section on PCOS physicians, I have found Dr.
Craig Winkel to have the best credentials fitting your local area.

I had a difficult time locating him, since they spelled his name
incorrectly. It is spelled "Winkel", whereas they spelled it "Winkle."
Dr. Craig Winkel is the Chairman of the Obgyn Department in the
Georgetown University Medical Center. His contact information follows:
