Affiliate is a web publisher, who puts a banner or text link on her/his site to promote merchants products. Different programs reward publishers differently, per sale, per lead or per click. Usually, third party companies track sales and distribute checks to affiliates. |

Affiliate Marketing is a term that describes the strategy in which a relationship between a merchant and an Affiliate is formed. Through this relationship, a merchant pays commissions to Affiliates for referring sales, leads, subscribers or other desired results. |
