Did Lionel Curtis,(1872-1955) the friend of Cecil Rhodes and the
philosopher of the Brish Empire and Commonwealth, have a relative
called Spencer Carey Curtis, architect, (b.1865 d.(Guernsey) 1945). If
so what was their relationship ? and what is the evidence for it ?

I spend quite a few hours on your genealogy question today. It´s more
difficult than it appeared at first sight.
Neither the Encyclopedia Britanncia nor the Internet brought an answer
so far. I contacted an expert on the genealogy of the Guernsey Careys
by e-mail.
So we´ll have to wait and see if he knows the answer.
