Most fraudulent e mails are easily identifiable, but some claiming to
come from banks, Ebay, and other ligitimate concerns I do business
with may not be. And they often ask for personal data such as date of
birth which would be useful in stealinfg identity. Can I get into any
harm if I deliberately give them the wrong DOB? (TIT FOR TAT). Yust
today I got an offer from a "consumer research group" caiming to be
affiliated with ebay offering a laptop computer to field test and
keep.
In addition to my questions for the future is there a way to render
harmless the date of birth already entered on their "survay"?

The exact same email currently sits on my screen also if I go into
OUTLOOK, and I am way down in Australia; so it travels sucessfully as
well; or perhaps you are Australian as well! You write like an
Australian.
The ones where you can really get back at the fraudsters is with the
Nigerian Scam emails. The easiest person in the world to con is a
conman and playing a long with one of those people proves the point
sowell and wastes their time alsoas they have wasted yours; in fcat
more so as once convinced they have you hooked they write letter after
letter trying to reassure you and gain your confidence.

I never went through the process but mate of mine did and showed me the results.
