Assuming that I might not have long to enjoy the proceeds, and so
might sell cheaply, how might I go about selling the complete body of
a 20+-year writing/researching career, or placing the least time and
effort into discovering that it is unsaleable? I won't go into
personal reasons for the sale, except to say that it may be two years
at most before my work won't matter to me any more. I have no family
or dependents, don't care much to leave it to a charity (thanks but no
thanks), have never had luck with agents or publishers, and always
lived and worked as though I had plenty of time for a "serious"
marketing effort at a later date. Much of my work, but by no means
all, is already posted at www.cublea.net, and I want to spend as
little of what time I have reformatting and reworking it as possible,
and if it's worthless, at least knowing that would have considerable
value to me, since it would free up more time for more fulfilling
pursuits. Setting the answer price fairly low for a starter...solid
leads on likely individuals, "matchmaking" offers (of real substance,
of course), and actual assistance in the task would definitely be
worth much more to me.

I am very sorry to hear about your poor health. It happens to us all eventually.

I am also very sorry that I cannot see any market value in the work
that has been outlined on your website.

However, you have obviously had lots of fun over the last 20 years or
so and that should be its own reward.

Continue to enjoy what you do as long as you can.

Keep at it!

Thanks, Bryan. I appreciate (perhaps more than you could know) you
making this a comment instead of an answer.

For what it's worth, for the most part this isn't really something I
enjoy. In large part, it's been a stance I've adopted to make it
appear that I enjoy it. I think I'll leave it at that. I'm tempted to
say I *should* have known better; I'll simply say that I *wish* I'd
known better.
