Hi prpro,

The largest cup I found was a 7 oz cup, however it doesn't come with a lid.

Thanks, bobbie7! This looks like it "might" have a lid (the orange
piece). 7oz may be OK, as well. Any other possibilities you've
found?

I've just noticed that the product to which I linked is listed as
being unavailable. If it would be suitable, I'd be glad to see whether
I can find another source for you.

Auggh.

I have been unsuccessful in locating a place where you can purchase
the Coleman 16-ounce collapsible tumbler. It is frustrating to know
that it exists, yet be unable to find a place to buy it! I hope
another Researcher may be able to find this for you.

hhhmm .. well, how 'bout you still get the collapsible bottle, shake
the contents, then pour 5 oz into your collapsible cup?

Good luck with the hunt!

LOL redux! I'm just trying to condense the amount of 'stuff' into a
single piece... maybe I'm nutz...

Hey Prpo,

How 'bout some feedback if you find what you are looking for? I'm now
intrigued as to your application of the product. If still unavailable,
how might we think outside of the collapsible cup/tumbler/bottle ?

What or who is "redux" ?

Thanks for asking, silver777! First 'redux' means 'brought back'. (my
own silliness here...)

The application for the large collapsible cup is this: I travel on
business almost constantly and carry my 'vital daily stuff' (computer,
et al) in a backpack. This backpack is stuffed with the things I need
to do business.

Because of a health issue I face, I am compelled to mix 'shakes' made
of powdered greens 4-5 times a day; each shake requires 8 oz or more
of liquid mixed with the greens powder, then shaken to be drunk. Most
often, I am close to a water supply (although I cannot easily carry
bottled water), but certainly no cups and (often) there are no
facilities to wash up. I have used a larger cup that does not
collapse, but it takes up way too much room in the pack.

I am looking for an easy way to get a cup of sufficient size for my
needs that will take up very little room. I want to be able to
'expand' the cup, dump in the powdered greens, cover it to shake it
up, drink it, then collapse the cup back down to fit into my pack.

Hence my problem -- I hope someone can help!

Hello again Prpro,

Would this 6 oz. Collapsible Drinking Cup with a lid meet your needs?

Thanks,

So close... I feel like a brat saying it needs to be more than 8 oz,
but I have to mix the powder with 8oz of liquid, plus need a bit of
room to spare to allow for the powder and the shaking. However,
bobbie7, at least this one has a lid... so we're closer!

The damndest thing is that I keep reading these listings from camping
sites that refer to 'take a collapsible cup (around 16 oz)', so I know
the thing exists... somewhere.

Try this:
http://www.scotchcorner.com/voyager-folding-cup.html

It has a lid and holds 50 centilitres. (= 500ml)

Amber.

Search strategy: folding cup

Wow -- this might do it! However, in the picture, the cup seems
smallere than the measure it promises (look at the size of the keyring
as compared to the size of the cup). I'll e-mail them to make sure.

Hi prpro,
Would a 16 oz collapsible canteen work? It folds flat, is clear, and
has a tight fitting lid, and would be usable for shaking the contents
you described. Probably less likely to leak or collapse while shaking
it than a collapsible cup.

Hi Radar,

By Joves you've got it. I hope that our friend hasn't now suffered
dehydration in waiting 3 months for the answer.
