Hello,
I'm considering buying a house in San Carlos, CA, which is located in
an officially designated area of landslide deposits. It's located on a
steep slope, but not in a flood zone (zone C). The house is 18 years
old. This information was provided by a company called "Property I.D."
based on the current maps included in the San Carlos Planning
Department.

I need an advise on the following:
- Is it safe to assume that the foundation is built on bedrock and
should not slide?
- May there be any additional restrictions imposed on this property by
the city/county in terms of what can be contsructed in the back yard
(decks, partial grading, etc)?
- How do I get historical information on geological reports for this
property/area? San Carlos City Hall was unable to provide me with any
additional information.
- Is there anything else I should know abou the property before making a dicision?

Thank you!
