The presidential candidate who receives at least 270 of the 538
Electoral College votes wins the election. That is, assuming you are
talking about the American presidential election.

It is currently not known who will win "the election", as the
Electoral  College has yet to vote, and will vote in a few months.

Hard to say.  Even the winner could end up losing.  See 2000 presedential election.
