in iraq or afghanistan (nurse from scranton that is a captain/sargent,
_i think_) that coordinated school-related childrens' donations in her
hometown to be sent to there. public radio did a news article about
her as early as May (don't remember exact date).  the children there
(again, iraq or afghanistan) were very greatful as mentioned in the
article. she was given government recognition of being an example of a
person making a positive difference in iraq. this is also mentioned in
the article.
