Hi blyth,

Assuming you are you Internet Explorer (IE)...

Click View / Toolbars.

Does "Address Bar" have a check mark next to it? If not, click on
"Address Bar" and see if that helps.

Thanks to all for helpful suggestions. The simple routines I knew, but
even with the address option ticked, it would not work. Even
professional help via the telephone could not solve the problem and I
had to abandon Google as my Search Engine to recover the ddress bar

Hi blyth,

Thank you for the clarification. Let's not give up quite yet.

1) Close all your browers, then open them again. Then View / Toolbars
and deselect Address Bar, then reselect it.

2)"I looked up "restore missing address bar" in Google. Those words appeared
separately in the Google bar with a sort of magnifying glass alongside each.
I clicked on the word "address" and moved it about a bit with the mouse, and
the missing address bar appeared."

3) Click Start, Run and type REGSVR32 /i BROWSEUI.DLL
Reboot.

4) 3. Restore Missing Toolbars EXE or VBS

5) Did you make sure that the toolbars aren't locked?
Did you try moving the other toolbars around to make sure the address
bar isn't under one of them?
Make sure you're not in Full-Screen Mode (press F-11).
After you select the Address Bar (View, Toolbars), you should also
lock it (View, Toolbars, Lock).

Good luck!

Hi Guys,

Its very simple, you seems to be very new to IE.

The solution is like this.

On the Menu Bar (File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help)

Click on "View", then

Click on "Toolbars",
Then Choose the option "Address Bar" if you are unable to see the
option to type in the website name.

Or Choose the option "Standard Buttons" if the Back and Forward
buttons are not displayed on your IE.

Also note that the option should be on if it displays and tick mark.

Rest try it..enjoy it..

Ciao

Rgds
