What would FDR, Truman and Eisenhower make of the US political landscape of 3 November 2004? Would they recognise America today? Obviously you cannae give me a definite answer so speculation will be fine. Thank you. |

No they would not recognise America today. They would be amazed that their successors did not have much more fun with nuclear weapons. An inheritance wasted! |

I think all three would have reacted to terorists in much the same way as GW Bush did. They would also be amazed at the propaganda, lies, half truths and false inferences plus other dispicable practices perfected to a high degree by Adolph Hitler, which have become part of USA political landscape. I think they would be shocked and appalled at the the run away socialism we have today. Especially FDR who is perhaps the father of USA socialism, but he gave us socialism and abused States Rights as a means to get us out of The Great Depression. Neil |
