Hi Lesley, There are a couple of good sites that the researcher missed out on. Precious Cargo have a large range of maternity clothing in up to size 28. However, they advise that there is a 15% surcharge for theseitems, and that as they are custom made they are purchased at your own risk. http://www.preciouscargo.co.uk/frameset.htm For supportive pregnancy bras and nursing bras after the birth, try http://www.mothernaturebras.co.uk/maternitybra.html One informative website I looked at (plus-size-pregnancy.org) pointed out that it may not be necessary to have an entire wardrobe of maternity clothes; plus-sized fashions tend to have elastic waists and other features that may allow them to be worn for most of the pregnancy (perhaps purchasing a larger size than normal). This is a link with lots of information for plus size pregnancies. Be sure to check out their "Resources for the UK" http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/PlusMat%20Clothing%20FAQs/PlusMat-abroad.html (If you decide to go the non-maternity route, a good list of plus-sized clothing retailers in the uk is listed below.) http://www.realcurvy.com/uk/ukclothes.htm An American website with information on plus size pregnancy: http://www.grandstyle.com/library.htm#pregnancy |

I would avoid Mothercare as a pair of their maternity trousers quickly wore out, and they refused to give a refund. |

Have just seen this message and although it was typed a couple of years ago(!) I thought I'd mention to anyone that's reading .... another site to try out (I think they're new) is www.tiffanyrosematernity.com - they're clothes are different to the usual you find .... definitely worth a try if you want something a bit more formal - say for a party or wedding. |
