Hello. Obviously, the very recent registrations have not all been tabulated, but this gives you an approximate idea: "An estimated 201.5 million U.S. citizens age 18 or over will be eligible to vote Nov. 2, although many are not now registered. Of these, about 55 million are registered Republicans. My wife and I are registerd Democrat, but only voted for one Democrat on Nov 2,04 Where I live, Republicans rarely get to vote in the primary, so we pick a Democrat that the Republican can beat. If lots of people vote opposite to the party they are registered, the number does not mean much. Neil |
