I have a Dell Dimension L933r using the Windows 98SE operating system.
System was purchased about 3 1/2 years ago. Last year I moved from
California to Ohio. I used AOL dial-up as my ISP in California. I
use Adelphia cable in Ohio, as my ISP, and continue to use my AOL
account. I?ve never really used my Adelphia account as an e-mail
address. I primarily use Yahoo! and secondarily AOL. As far as I
know / recall, all I?ve done is changed Internet Explorer to open up
to my Yahoo! mail page when I log on via IE. I have to log on to AOL
by clicking on the AOL logo at the bottom of my screen.
I can?t pull up a valid e-mail form when I click on a ?mail-to? link.
Instead, I get a screen that says ?Phone Tools? ? with BVRP which
appears to be a logo. I have no recollection of installing or
initiating this software. There is no "about" button or any easy way
that I can find to disable it. This began happening when I moved to
Ohio
and changed my ISP.
When in California, I always got an AOL e-mail form when I clicked on
a mail-to link. My work around is to write down the e-mail address, go
into Yahoo!, then compose a mail.
I would like to be able to click on an e-mail address link, have a
Yahoo! e-mail form pop-up, write, then send.
Can anyone please help?
