IN THE 1900'S?  I KNOW AGNES STUEBGEN TAUGHT AT "EAST STREET" SCHOOL.

What do you want to know? About the school now? Other teachers at the
school (at that time)? A history of the school? You probably also want
to be more specific about when in the 1900s. That's 100 years. In
Pennsylvania, schools and districts were consolidated during that time
period as well, making changes and eliminating one-room school houses
and/or one-teacher schools which may make finding information,
particularly online information, quite difficult.

AGNES STUEBGEN was born 25 Jul 1879.
I know she was a school teacher at EAST STREET SCHOOL in Allegheny
Co., Pittsburgh, PA.
Agnes STUEBGEN died 15 Jan 1973.
I am looking for any information on her and thought she must be listed
in
some "Teachers Association".

Please explain the reason you want information about Agnes.  Is she a
biological parent or other relative of yours?

Visit the website www.whiterpages.com (actual name was White Pages
Telephone Directory but the web name is different because some other
company got it first) and look up the name STUEGBEN in Pittsburgh and
you will find 3 listings--one or more of these names is most likely
bound to be related to her and if you call or write them they can
probably give you the information you need.

If that doesn't work, then you can contact the Allegheny County
Courthouse/Probate Court to inquire if Agnes had a last will &
testament--if she did you can order a copy of the probate file that
would contain names and addresses of her surviving relatives, but
there is a search fee (might be over $50).  You could also write a
letter to the Pittsburgh Post newspaper to inquire if they could do an
obituary search for her if they have back issues of the newspaper on
microfilm.  Good luck with your search!

MINE"!
SHE NEVER MARRIED AND I KNOW SOMEONE FROM SAXONBURG, PA WHO REMEMBERS
HAVING HER AS HIS TEACHER.  I AM INTERESTED IN THE HISTORY OF THE
"EAST STREET SCHOOL" AND THE TEACHERS WHO TAUGHT THERE.  I HEARD AUNT
AGNES WAS A "GREAT" PERSON.
