My maternal Grandfather was on the cover of Time or Life magazine, we
think, in the 1960's or late 1950's.  HIs name was Rudy or Rudolph
Gonzales (ez).  He has a tatto on his shoulder that says Born Looser. 
He is from Dallas, Texas.  We are looking for the magazine that he was
on to purchase or locate at the library.

He was a boxer,semi-pro or pro.

I just found out that he was on the cover with another boxer named
Toni Marciano?? I am hearing this from my mom...so I am not sure how
to spell. They were Golden Gloves competitors.

You can search Time Magazine covers here.  I did a search for Gonzales
and Gonzalez and didn't find anything.  You can also browse the
covers:

Life Magazine covers can be searched here.  Again I tried the same
thing and didn't find anything:

Also I found this reference to a boxer named Rudy Gonzalez , born in
1941.  Is this your Grandfather?
