I've been offerd a partnership in Archon Inc. and I would like to know
what I'm getting into. How much did he buy his last two parnters out
for? Net worth, any law suits, liens, bench warrents ect. |

Hello buc-ga,
It's a fairly straightforward task (painstaking...but straightforward)
to search for lawsuits, liens, business filings, newspaper articles,
and other information on Archon, or on its president, Steve Arthur.
However...there's no way of knowing in advance what such a search
might uncover. Perhaps a lot...perhaps not.
I doubt, though, that information will turn up on partner buy-outs, as
that sort of thing is rarely made public.
I'd be more than happy to look...as long as you can content yourself
with whatever turns up (which means taking a chance on fairly meager
results).

I just wanted to check in and make sure you were aware of the question
to you I posted a few days ago. Let me know if you'd like me to go
ahead and research Archon and Steve Arthur, even with the caveats I
mentioned earlier.

I guess what I'm looking for is, anything that could tell me what kind
of a buisness man is he, does he abide by the rules and the law or do
I need to be concerned that if I do go into a partnership with him,
will I end up broke and in jail? So if you think this search you
descibed to me will do that then I'm all for it! If not are there any
other option's to look at? Looking at some of your past work I think
your real good at what you do so I'll leave it up to you, but when you
feel its complete please ask yourself "is this enough information for
me to be able to make the decision?" I trust your judgement.

From a quick once over of the major sources, it appears that there's
very little information out there on either Archon or on Steve Arthur.
On the one hand, this may well be a case of "no news is good news".
Bad companies and bad business people tend to be on the receiving end
of a lot of lawsuits, negative publicity, complaints, etc...I saw none
of these regarding Archon.
On the other hand, the absence of much information of any kind is not
especially comforting, I suppose.
With so little to go on, it did not seem worthwhile to dig deeper into
the available sources, as it would be time-intensive, but not
necessarily all that fruitful. I would be reluctant to post an answer
that said, in effect, "Sorry...there's just not much to report".
In short, I'll have to take a pass on answering this question. But I
wish you all the best in your business ventures.
